Laughable: Even Mitt Romney Is Criticizing Joe Biden’s Presidency

Mitt Romney is not the type of guy you look to for strong statements and bold leadership. Unless, of course, it’s against his own party. Romney betrayed the Republican Party numerous times in recent years. He voted against Trump in the Democrats’ bogus impeachment (twice). He refused to stand behind Trump as the 45th president and many others challenged the 2020 Election results. And this “Republican” voted for Biden’s bogus “infrastructure” bill, even though only a fraction of it will go to actual infrastructure.

If you’re a strong, America-first conservative, the last person you look to for guidance and integrity is this guy. In fact, he might have a big problem when he’s up for reelection (in 2024). So, you wouldn’t be blamed for expecting this RINO to back a man like Biden, even as he works against the American people. But Biden is doing so badly that even a crony like Mitt Romney is turning on him.

Republican Utah Sen. Mitt Romney bemoaned the Biden Presidency on NBC’s ‘Meet the Press’ Sunday, telling host Chuck Todd that things were “not going well.” […]

“People are 7% poorer now because of Biden inflation. Gasoline prices are 50% higher than they were when he took office. The border is a mess. Covid was resurgent, but he didn’t have in place the tests people needed to keep themselves safe. Then of course, there was a disaster in Afghanistan. Russia is now threatening Ukraine. Things are not going well. And the president needs to stop and reset and say what is it he is trying to accomplish. If he’s trying to transform America, he’s not going to unite us.” [Source: Daily Caller]

Only now is Romney criticizing Joe Biden, saying he’s had “52 bad weeks.” Oddly enough, Romney is only saying this after James Carville—a Democratic strategist—came out first to criticize Biden and the Democrats. Where was Romney all last year, when Biden was doing all the things he’s now complaining about?

Why wasn’t Romney calling for investigations after Biden let the Taliban take over Afghanistan? Where was Romney when Biden violated the constitutional rights of 100 million Americans with his vaccine mandates? If Romney’s so upset now, shouldn’t he have been more proactive all last year, when he could have played a role in stopping Biden’s disaster?

But it almost seems as if Romney was waiting. He didn’t want to rock the boat, even as Biden was ruining the lives of countless Americans. Romney behaved exactly like Democrats, doing nothing and thinking Biden’s spending bill would save the administration. Only when it became clear Biden was a lame-duck has Romney bothered to say anything.

This shows you just how much of a failure Biden has become. You could always count on a traitor like Romney to attack other Republicans, especially Donald Trump. But for this coward to come out swinging against a Democrat? It means Biden doesn’t have the influence or power to hurt Romney. The senator is safe to take shots, knowing that now it’s better for him to turn on Biden than to defend him.

That’s very bad for Biden, but it certainly doesn’t help Romney. We know he’s a Republican in name only. And we won’t forget it come election time.
