The progressive regime knows that they’re on video giving the true definition of recession. But that won’t stop them from pushing a massive propaganda campaign in an attempt to redefine a well-established economic phenomenon in an effort to mitigate Democrat losses in 2022 and 2024.
A major benefit of being a member of the progressive regime is the liberal stronghold on mainstream media outlets. CNN, MSNBC, et al have abandoned all journalistic integrity to become the propaganda wing for the Democrat Party, which allows the Biden administration to incessantly lie to the American public without any repercussions whatsoever.
This was proven by their media push to redefine what it means to be in a recession despite decades of video contradictory video evidence.
A clip of former President Bill Clinton provided a perfect example of the high-level propaganda being pushed by the White House. The clip showed former Presidents Bill Clinton and George Bush meeting in the oval office where Clinton defined a recession as “two quarters in a row” of economic contraction.
The clip circulated widely on social media, and Republicans are using it to expose Joe Biden’s lies.
The video showed the then-president at the White House in December 2000 alongside incoming President George W. Bush answering questions from the pooled press. Asked about his fears of a potential recession, Clinton replied by defining the term, saying: “Well, a recession is two quarters in a row of negative growth.”

Sen. Ted Cruz retweeted the clip on Saturday alongside the caption: “Bill Clinton was right.”
The otherwise ordinary comment from Clinton has taken on new meaning in recent weeks, as the Biden administration has attempted to avoid using the term to describe the current economy.
Though a recession is usually defined by two consecutive quarters of negative GDP growth, administration officials have disputed the definition in an apparent deflection on the nation’s current financial woes.
The country’s GDP fell at a 1.6% annualized rate in the first quarter and by 0.9% in the second rate, meeting the common definition of a recession. Despite this, the administration has been hard at work arguing that isn’t really the case.
As estimates concluded that the U.S. economy contracted for the second straight quarter, Biden released a statement that did not include the word “recession.” The cognitively deficient President even had the nerve to claim that America was “on the right path” despite the endless suffering caused by his fiscal policies.

This level of obfuscation alone should be grounds for impeachment!
