There are disgruntled former Trump officials and then there are insane former Trump officials.
Apparently, President Trump’s former Defense Secretary Mark Esper is leaning more on the insane side after he “exposed” the Former President for his desire to secure the border.
Former President Donald Trump allegedly said he wanted to launch missiles into Mexico to wipe out drug cartels, former defense secretary Mark Esper claims in his upcoming memoir, according to the New York Times (NYT).
Esper reportedly recounts in “A Sacred Oath,” set to be released Tuesday, how Trump allegedly asked at least twice if the military could “shoot missiles into Mexico to destroy the drug labs” in the summer of 2020. Esper reportedly said Trump cited the constant flow of narcotics across the border as his reasoning.
“They don’t have control of their own country,” Trump allegedly said, according to Esper. Esper claims he objected to the suggestion, to which Trump allegedly said “we could just shoot some Patriot missiles and take out the labs, quietly,” according to the NYT. Trump allegedly said the U.S. could then deny they had conducted the strike, the NYT reported citing Esper.
“No one would know it was us,” Trump allegedly added.
"We had developed a plan, initial concept of how [sending 250,000 troops to the U.S.-Mexico border] might happen. And I was just flabbergasted," former Secretary of Defense Mark Esper tells @NorahODonnell.

Esper also claims Trump is “an unprincipled person who, given his self-interest, should not be in the position of public service.”
Esper allegedly considered resigning several times but was allegedly worried that should he resign he would be replaced with a pro-Trump loyalist, which Esper believed would be unfair to the American people.
Isn’t so hilarious how high and mighty these charlatans become once they find themselves utterly unsuccessful in working with Donald Trump? It’s fascinating how personal failure and jealousy can impact an intelligent person’s moral compass, and how desperate these people are to remain relevant.
Esper truly believes in his heart of hearts that he prevented Donald Trump from launching missiles at Mexico; that’s something he genuinely believes, and he’s trying to convince the American public to believe it as well.
Some will, but most will figure out for themselves what an utter crock of s*** Mark Esper (and others) truly are.
