Ron DeSantis, the governor of Florida, feels he possesses what it really takes to be president and that he could win against President Biden.
DeSantis said to Piers Morgan, whose interview with the governor of the Sunshine State is set to appear Thursday on Fox Nation’s “Piers Morgan Uncensored,” that “I believe what it truly takes is to possess a vision for this country, have the capacity to show leadership, and also being prepared to stand inside that fire whenever it gets very hot and never back down under duress. I think I possess all of those things.”
DeSantis allegedly stated, “I’m running against Biden if I decide to run. I understand that there may be competition between him and Trump for the GOP nomination, but eventually, you know, I’m going to focus on Biden because I believe he has failed the nation. I believe that the nation desires change. We will be quite loud about the fact that we believe they want a new beginning and a new course.”
According to Morgan, DeSantis responded in the affirmative when asked if he thinks he can win against President Biden: “Yes, I think so.”
DeSantis stated the following in regards to a potential presidential bid: “I haven’t made up my mind about it yet. I’ve let people know that I have a lot of work to do in Florida over the coming months. We’re going to score many points. We will see how things play out after that, however, I can tell you that a lot of people are aware that the nation is not on the right track and I think that, if we can replicate Florida’s success nationally, we can put America back on course and strengthen its fundamental principles,” he said.
DeSantis mentioned that he has “a youthful household. It is not the most simple thing to be going through since I have a variety of duties, and I also want to be sure that my justifications are crystal clear. I’m only concerned about completing tasks and achieving goals. I’m not in need of a title. I do not need a spectacle. I simply want to know what I could do to make a difference if I set my mind to something, if we ever really did that, and we were successful.”
In the event that DeSantis decides to run, he will face off against former President Trump in the Republican primary.
DeSantis reportedly responded, “Well, I believe there is a few things,” when questioned about the contrasts between Trump and himself. “COVID was approached differently. Someone like Fauci would have been dismissed by me. He grew much beyond his means, in my opinion, and I believe he caused significant harm.”
“In addition, I believe that just in the terms of my leadership style, I hire government employees that share our purpose as well as the goals of the people. You enter with your own agenda, and then you go. We simply cannot have that. Hence, I think it’s crucial that we manage the government in a way that avoids everyday turmoil, concentrates on that big picture, and gains points and that’s important,” DeSantis added.
