Democrats have made an effort to discredit any criticism of election results. But for the past 22 years — at least since the 2000 election between George W. Bush and Al Gore —
Democrats have been mainly in support of contesting and refusing to accept election results.
Now, according to Joe Biden and the Dems, contesting the election or refusing to accept the results is a “danger to democracy.”
I now have a query for those same Dems: where is their condemnation of Rep. Vicente Gonzalez (D-TX), who claims that the Republicans “stole” the June special election in the 34th Congressional district from him? Elon Musk cast his vote for Rep. Mayra Flores (R-TX) in that election, which she won fairly and easily. Gonzalez, though, disagrees.
“Our democracy is in jeopardy… There are hundreds of millions of dollars pouring in from outside our state and region to attempt to rig our elections, destroy our value, and destroy the election process that we all depend on. And we lack the resources that we need to compete with these resources from outside. We are unable to compete with the Koch brothers, big oil, big tobacco, and the NRA.” Gonzalez stated, “They can outspend us, but they can not outwork us. They stole the previous election. We spent $250,000 on campaigning, they spent $3 million, and they still just won by less than 1%. Gonzalez asserted that voting is the only way to change this.”
Guess who clapped when Gonzalez made these untrue statements about a “stolen election” while they were both present there at the same event? Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA), a member of the Jan. 6 Committee and the person behind a lot of other false information being published about Republicans. Schiff doesn’t appear to care, though, about his position’s hypocrisy.
Despite winning the special election, Flores must compete again for the full seat in November, and the district leans Democratic. Her victory serves as a warning sign for the Democrats.
Flores claimed that “the swamp is safeguarding one of their own” and that they were “getting very desperate if Adam Schiff is coming down to Tx to save Vicente Gonzalez.” Gonzalez had already demonstrated how desperate he was when it was discovered through an investigation that he had been funding a local blogger who was defaming Flores’ Hispanic heritage and making ugly racist and sexual remarks about her. Even more evidence of their duplicity is provided by the fact that he is still running and that Schiff continues to show up to support him.
