Even though illegal aliens are pouring into Texas by the hundreds of thousands, New York City Mayor Eric Adams says that only 10,000 of them would be enough to bring down his city.
Even though that doesn’t make any sense, the Biden government isn’t known for making sense either. That could be why it is now thinking about a policy that would make illegal aliens who cross into Texas stay there while they wait to be screened for asylum.
Governor Greg Abbott is angry and joins Glenn to talk about the mess that the Democrats made.
“In nearly 50 years of broadcasting, this is the most significant game-changing border policy that I have ever encountered,” Glenn tells Abbott.
Abbott agrees, emphasizing that sanctuary communities that are revolting against the flood of illegal immigration are the ones who have said, “We welcome your worn out, impoverished illegal immigrants, we really would like them here.”
Abbott says that when they have to keep their promises, they do a full about-face and “fall apart like a cheap tent.”
People are making fun of the Texas governor because he sends refugees to other states by bus, but Abbott says that the Biden government has been doing “exactly the same thing.”
Abbott says that about 90–95% of migrants who cross the border in Texas choose not to remain in Texas, however this would change if the Biden government forced the migrants to remain there.
Abbott feels this is “retaliation” for Texas assuming “operational control of the border,” during which the state has in fact “pushed back into Mexico individuals who were attempting to cross illegally or repelled them.”
“Nothing like this has ever happened in the history of the United States,” Abbott says.
“It is true that the Biden administration harbors animosity toward the state of Texas.”
Abbott also says that illegal immigration to Texas was the lowest it has been in 40 years when President Trump was in office. Now, because Biden wants to keep the borders open, the state has the most illegal immigrants it has ever had.
Abbott, on the other hand, is not giving up and says that the new policy that the Biden administration is thinking about “is a hopeless legal proposition for Biden.”
“If he keeps playing this crazy game, we’ll just beat him again.”
