Well, would you look at that!
It appears the Biden administration is taking a page out of Donald Trump’s book to combat skyrocketing gas prices.
A slow-but-steady incline in energy prices has occurred since day one of Biden’s presidency when he immediately signed orders destroying America’s energy independence, including halting construction of the Keystone XL Pipeline.
Since then, Americans have struggled at the pump. To make matters worse, Putin’s decision to invade Ukraine only contributed to the massive price per gallon of gas. To Biden, however, Putin’s invasion of Ukraine was a perfect scapegoat to blame for rising oil prices.
On Tuesday, Joe Biden announced a temporary pause on an environmental rule that regulates gasoline mix Tuesday.
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) will allow energy providers to supply gas stations with 15% ethanol blend fuel throughout the summer. Gasoline with 15% ethanol — which has been banned for a decade under the Clean Air Act — will be allowed between June 1 and Sept. 15 as a result of Biden’s action.
The action Tuesday may also face legal challenges: last year, a federal appeals court scrapped a Trump administration attempt to allow the 15% ethanol fuel mixture to be sold at pumps year-round.
Something tells us that a federal judge will be more inclined to give Biden a pass on this ethanol rule.
Activist judges on the federal level had a questionable habit of constantly denying the implementation of Trump’s agenda despite how Congress or the American people voted.
Meanwhile, Biden’s decision is raising concerns from everyone involved.
The left is unsurprisingly up in arms that Biden dare abandon his green energy promises. On the other hand, oil industry executives believe Biden isn’t addressing the fundamental issues driving up costs for fuel.
By allowing a temporary ethanol fuel mixture, Biden is essentially attempting to salvage what’s left of his dying presidency. The American public has had about all they can take financially and are looking for an alternative to Biden’s version of globalist liberalism.
He by no means is addressing the infrastructural issues plaguing the country’s ability to produce its own oil. This new rule is merely a band-aid; a temporary fix to hopefully quell America’s concerns.
Don’t be fooled.
