Ever since running for office in 2020, Joe Biden has milked COVID for all its worth. He constantly blamed Donald Trump for the number of cases, hospitalizations, and deaths in the country. Even in office, Biden spent most of his time talking about the virus. He frequently pointed to it as the reason his administration was so ineffective and useless. Biden even went so far as to use the virus to justify unconstitutional mandates against working Americans.
But the facts are clear. Biden’s administration has been one of the worst on record. His failed policies have triggered one crisis after another. Americans are suffering from unnecessary inflation, rising fuel prices, a worker shortage, and more. Yet Biden has been able to ignore it all because he keeps beating the COVID drum. Now, a new poll reveals that strategy is no longer going to work, especially as the election draws near.
A new poll finds that Americans’ political priorities have shifted away from COVID-19 related concerns and toward the economy, as the 2022 midterms begin in earnest.
The poll, conducted by the Associated Press and the NORC Center for Public Affairs Research, found that just 37% of Americans named the COVID-19 pandemic as one of the top 5 priorities they want the federal government to address in 2022…

It could be people are tired of hearing about COVID. Or, it could be the weaker variant is burning itself out as we speak. Then again, it could be that Americans are over the pandemic. Whatever the case may be, the latest poll reveals Americans are far more concerned with the economy, which has taken a beating from Biden and Democrats over the last year.
Concerns for COVID dropped from 53% to 37% since last year. But worries about the economy have risen sharply. That includes a growing focus on inflation as well as the cost of living. And Americans have good reason to worry about all this. Under Biden, we’ve seen the cost of everything steeply rise, after he pumped new money into the economy (lowering the value of the dollar) and paying people not to go to work.
Remember that before 2021, the economy was in good shape. It took a hit at the start of the pandemic but started to recover rapidly—while Trump was still president. But the moment Biden stumbled his way into the White House everything was reversed. The impressive economic growth we’ve enjoyed since 2016 was practically erased. Biden managed to derail a strong economy by doing the exact things that would hurt it.
It’s almost as if he wanted to put people out of work, shut down businesses, and put us last in the world.
Americans have certainly noticed and they are not pleased. They are especially upset with Democrats, who have done nothing to help the situation. Democrats have only wasted time on their bloated spending bill and corrupt voting legislation. Come November, they are in for a rude awakening.
