Americans Tell the Gender Cult to Pound Sand — Support Craters to Record Low

Despite Hollywood, Big Tech, corporate HR departments, and every public school teacher spending the better part of a decade screaming at Americans that men can become women by simply wishing hard enough, the public just delivered its verdict — and it's a beatdown. A new Gallup poll shows belief that "changing one's gender" is morally acceptable has cratered to a record low of just 38%.

Thirty-eight percent. They had every institution in the country pushing this nonsense and they still couldn't crack four in ten. That's not a plateau, folks. That's a nosedive.

The Gallup "Values and Beliefs" annual poll, conducted May 1-17, 2026, surveyed U.S. adults on 20 different behaviors. As Craig Bannister of CNSNews reports, the gender question didn't just dip — it collapsed from 46% back in 2021 to today's record low. Five years of rainbow flags on every corporate logo, pronoun mandates in every email signature, and drag queen story hours in every library, and support dropped eight points.

You love to see it.

The partisan breakdown is where this gets truly delicious. Only 5% of Republicans think changing one's gender is morally acceptable. Five percent. That's basically a rounding error — probably people who misread the question. Democrats clocked in at 60%, which sounds high until you realize they were at 71% just the year before. That's an 11-point collapse among the people who were supposed to be the true believers.

Independents landed at 42%, proving once again that the mushy middle is slowly hardening against the nonsense. Even among young adults aged 18-34 — the demographic most marinated in gender ideology from kindergarten on — support sits at just 57%. Meanwhile, Americans 55 and older are at a rock-solid 24%.

The gender question wasn't the only thing hitting rock bottom. Gallup found six behaviors at record lows in 2026, including birth control at 83%, gambling at 57%, the death penalty at 52%, medical animal testing at 45%, and animal cloning at 27%. Democrats also saw a 13-point decline on animal cloning acceptance and a 10-point drop on polygamy. Apparently even the left has limits — who knew?

But the gender number is the headline, and it should terrify every school administrator who thought slapping a "Gender Spectrum" poster in the hallway was a safe career move. Americans watched the full-court press. They saw the social media censorship. They heard the threats against parents who dared object. And they said no.

Not "maybe later." Not "we need more education." No.

The cultural tide isn't just turning — it turned. The only people who haven't figured that out yet are the ones still putting pronouns in their bios.
