This might come as a surprise to you, but Hollywood is made up mostly of liberals. Shocking, I know, but for decades the liberals who run our entertain industry have used and abused their significant influence over our country to push their political agenda. Or did you think they were on your side—when they pushed gay sex, anti-family content, and anti-Second Amendment propaganda?
Even “family-friendly” Disney was increasingly moving toward the left. Sure, The Little Mermaid looks safe. But these days, you’ll be hard-pressed to find any content coming from the House of Mouse that isn’t tainted with some form of leftist propaganda. That extends to their ownership of Star Wars and Marvel movies. But only recently did Americans realize just how woke they’ve gotten, when Disney openly defied a law aimed at protecting children from sexually-themed content in school.
Now, parents are fighting back.
A flood of families are canceling their Disney memberships — from amusement parks to Disney+ streaming — over the woke entertainment company’s leftist, LGBTQIA+ agenda, with one parent noting, “Walt would turn over in his grave” if he saw what Disney has become…
Last year, Disney banned gender from its park greetings, replacing “Good evening, ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, dreamers of all ages,” with “Good evening, dreamers of all ages.”
The company is also working overtime to get LGBTQIA2S+-related content onto children’s television screens, with one Disney executive recently lamenting that not enough lead characters in Disney content are “LGBTQIA,” and another admitting Disney encouraged her “not-at-all-secret gay agenda” when she became an employee.
If all of that wasn’t enough, Disney CEO Bob Chapek caved to leftists, coming out against Florida legislation that prevents the grooming and sexualizing of children in schools. [Source: Breitbart]
Yes, the warm, family-friend, American Disney you once knew is dead. Radical leftists, particularly gay and trans activists, are running the show. And they are literally trying to cram this stuff into every program they produced. Including shows and movies made for children. This goes beyond politics. The activists at Disney seem to think this is their God-given duty to expose as many children as possible to homosexuality, transgenderism, and other radical views.
Parents, disgusted by how transparent this agenda has become, are deciding to ditch their memberships to various Disney programs. That includes Disney’s theme parks, its streaming service, and more. Long-time Disney fans have become alienated by the entrenched feminists, LGBT activists, and other far-left people who essentially run the company today. And they are voting no with their dollars.
Listen, folks, this is the only way a company like Disney is going to learn. You don’t have to burn your child’s Beauty and the Beast blanket, but by cutting of Disney’s flow of cash, you are letting them know you don’t approve. Numerous companies have learned the hard way these days that, if you “go woke,” you “go broke.” Disney needs to learn that Americans will in no way tolerate such a blatant attempt at brainwashing our children.
Disney might learn, or they might not. At least we are not funding a dark and crooked agenda.
