Americans Aren’t Buying Democrats’ Ukraine Narrative, And This Proves It

According to a recent Ipsos poll, almost half of Americans say Ukraine should strive to reach a peace agreement with Russia.

According to an Ipsos poll released on Dec. 5, 2022, 47% of Americans say Ukraine’s government should be forced to sign a peace treaty with Russia as soon as feasible.

In the same poll, 48% of Americans said the US should back Ukraine “for as long as it takes,” regardless of the negative repercussions of maintaining this proxy war with Russia.

One of the significant conclusions of this study was that Americans who wanted the US to put pressure on Ukraine to hold peace negotiations with Russia were concerned about the expenses the Russo-Ukrainian conflict has caused for many American households, who are currently facing increased energy prices. This trend has reached even more dangerous proportions in Europe, which is experiencing an extraordinary energy crisis that might result in one of the most significant drops in living standards in decades.

Unfortunately, America’s elites have become more aloof and arrogant in their scorn for the American people’s best interests. With the rare exception of America First nationalists in the Republican Party, both parties are devoted to everlasting conflict overseas, as indicated by strong bipartisan support for military assistance to Ukraine.

These individuals cannot be persuaded to accept realism and non-interventionism. For any serious political reform to occur, supporters of never-ending wars in Congress must eventually be liberated of the weight of holding higher office.

That is the only way out of this predicament.
